Tea Gathering in Malaysia2019.02.14
On the 1st day of 2019, we had a chance to have a tea gathering in Malaysia.
The hosts welcomed us with warmest kindness and consideration, which we couldn’t find enough words to thank them.
Host mother prepared their local food with less spice so that kids can eat, host father showed us around to enjoy the beauty of nature, grandmother made her special coffee for us with all her heart, our friend Aiyie was paying attention to us so that we feel comfortable all the time. All the neighbors welcomed us as if we were old friends,,,
What we could do to show gratitude and respect for their culture was to make tea with all our hearts.
I realized again Chado(tea ceremony) is not the thing to be “performed” to introduce as a traditional culture, but is a tool to exchange our warm considerations.
Thank you so much for this opportunity, Ayie. We hope our friendship lasts forever, reproduced and spread like this time.
